City of Mandurah Convention Scholarship 2012

Develop Fresh Connections with the $5000 City of Mandurah Convention Scholarship

2012 submissions now invited.

What is the 'City of Mandurah' Convention Scholarship?

The 2012 'City of Mandurah' Convention Scholarship is a $5,000 grant awarded annually to an individual representative of a non-profit association with the aim of furthering their professional and personal development. This may be achieved via attendance at a relevant international conference or pursuing further specialised study in their chosen field.

What do I need to do?

All you need to do in order to be considered for the Scholarship is research an international conference which has the potential to be hosted in Mandurah and the Peel Region, and present a brief case as to why the conference should be hosted here.

What is the $5,000 used for?

The Scholarship covers expenses such as air travel, accommodation and registration for a relevant international conference, or can be used towards education expenses in your field to a maximum of $5,000.
If your organisation is not currently a member of its international body, the Scholarship can contribute towards the cost of the joining fee.

Who funds the scholarship?

The Scholarship is funded by the City of Mandurah and is an initiative of Perth Convention Bureau under its Aspire Program. The Bureau is responsible for marketing Western Australia as a business events destination embracing conventions, exhibitions, corporate meetings and incentive travel groups. In fulfilling this role, the Bureau assists individuals and organisations to bring their national and international conferences to Western Australia. The Aspire Program aims to raise the profile of individuals and their professional organisations, showcasing the groundbreaking research and development being undertaken by local organisations and ultimately resulting in conferences being secured for Western Australia, delivering economic and social benefit to the City of Mandurah, the Peel Region and the wider community.
