The 2010 Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show promises to be more impressive than in previous years, with a number of planned changes, and new and exciting additions to the Show. This year we are introducing the new Super Marquee, which is bigger, higher and wider, and offers a more open interior display area. There are also layout refinements which will mean improved walkways, as well as extensive improvements in general transport and parking.

The Show will have a new area designated to personal watercraft, which will allow for demonstrations and displays, and give you a chance to get onboard and have a ride! The Western Angler Fishing Super Stage will be introduced at this year’s Show. Featuring a range of interactive presentations on fishing hotspots around WA, complete with a big TV screen showing aerial views of the fishing spot, and presenters giving in depth information on the areas. Cooking demonstrations to tempt the tastebuds, with celebrity chef Bart Beek coming along to show us his best Mediterranean recipes, and Malcolm Douglas presenting camp oven cooking.

Other attractions include fashion shows and live music; plus masses of activities for the kids including competitions, rides, face painting and shows. This year, we are presenting the Show as a “family friendly” event, and are offering children under the age of 16 free entry to the Show.

The Club Marine Mandurah Boat Show is the third largest boat show in Australia, and the largest show of its kind in Western Australia.

The Waroona Agricultural Society presented the first show on 2nd December 1925 and the tradition continues today. The Show is held on the 'second Saturday' in October and is a great opportunity to enjoy a relaxed country atmosphere. A wide range of displays, entertainment and activities. Sideshow alley, fireworks and entertainment continue into the evening. A fabulous day out for the whole family

The Little Nippers Mawitt Kara Children’s Festival will be Blasting off on a Space Adventure Sunday, October 18 from 10am till 4pm, launching the City of Mandurah’s festival season. Children and parents alike will be carried away at this year’s free family fun day full of games, arts, crafts, healthy eating and lots more healthy activities all located on the Eastern Foreshore, Mandurah.

Celebrating the year of Astronomy, this year’s festivities will be touching down with the free Bendigo Bank Healthy Breakfast on the Eastern Foreshore from 9am where children and their families will be able to start their day with delicious healthy choices served by the friendly staff and board from the Halls Head Community Bank branch of the Bendigo Bank.

Stop by and celebrate the official opening of the festival with Mandurah’s Junior Mayor Georgia Wright and Mayor Paddi Creevey on the main entertainment stage at 10am, before following the solar system down the foreshore to enjoy the many activities on offer including rides, exciting displays from Scitech, live performances and much more.

The Peel Sports Fest will be joining the festival this year to celebrate sport in the community including fun demonstrations from a range of sports clubs providing plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved.

The City of Mandurah is gearing up for this year’s Peel Region Seniors’ Expo. 
The event, sponsored by Mandurah Mobility, will run over two days from Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, 10.00am to 3.00pm.
Day two will feature the inaugural Gopher Active Games, with David Templeman taking up the mic as race caller.  
As well as being great fun, the aim of the games is to promote scooter safety. 
The expo will take place at Ac-cent Mandurah on Ormsby Terrace and the surrounding Council gardens, with a free seniors’ sundowner concert
taking place on October 30 from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. 
Perth Swing Band ’The Darling Buds of May’ will be providing the entertainment. 
On both days of the expo, popular TV and radio presenter Verity James will be reprising her role as roving MC.

The next Blues and Roots Revue is due to be held on November 7th 2010.
Performers are yet to be announced.
Tickets are $20 and are available at the gate.  Children under 12 are free.  
Strictly no BYO wine and no BYO spirits -any wine that is not Peel Estate will be confiscated.  Children under 12 -free.

Dwellingup Country Craft Market held on the third Sunday of the month in and around the beautiful old RSL McLarty St Dwellingup.  All hand made products local and WA made came and enjoy some country hospitality and a great country drive to Dwellingup.
