Three Rivers Brewing Company

Our picnic spots in Mandurah and surrounds offer unique experiences to go with those picturesque views, like hanging out with kangaroos or spotting some dolphins. Pack a picnic and stay awhile at these top picnic spots.

Mandurah Eastern Foreshore

The Mandurah Eastern Foreshore is popular for picnics and BBQs with locals and visitors alike. Shady trees provide shelter and overlooking Mandjar Bay, you have a good chance to spot some dolphins while you enjoy your outdoor picnic or family barbecue.

Estuary Road

Take the Scenic Drive along Estuary Road in Dawesville and choose from the many beautiful picnic shelters with BBQs overlooking the estuary.

Falcon Bay Beach

Falcon Bay is protected from the southwest sea breeze in summer. There’s a reef point great for snorkelling and surfing. The grass playground and BBQ area have recently been refurbished and come with beautiful views of the bay. Bring your own picnic or barbecue or get some takeaway from the nearby Falcon Bay Beach Café.

Doddies Beach

Doddies Beach is a great beach for kids with ample shade and is equipped with BBQs and picnic shelters overlooking the beach, making it an ideal setting for BBQs and family gatherings.

Keith Holmes Reserve (The Lido, Mandurah)

The Mandurah locals love to go to Keith Holmes Reserve for family gatherings, BBQs and picnics. There’s plenty of room for children to play, a grassed area, BBQs and picnic shelters as well as a man-made beach close-by. A footbridge leads over to the Mandurah Ocean Marina where you find lots of waterside cafes, restaurants and takeaway options.

Drakesbrook Weir

Beautiful spot in Waroona, only a 40 minute drive inland from Mandurah, with sandy beach, lawn, shaded tables and free barbecues.

North Dandalup Dam

Spend a day out in nature. One of the secret spots the locals don’t want you to know about is the North Dandalup Dam. The dam was constructed in 1994 and is the newest dam serving Perth, set in the North Dandalup River.

Enjoy the coastal views from the lookout, have a picnic at the recreation lake  or use the barbecues for a nice family meal! Don’t forget to bring some beach games or a ball for the little ones – there is plenty of room for entertainment around here!

Serpentine Falls

Enjoy a picnic or barbecue amongst shady trees by the waterfall at Serpentine National Park. The tame kangaroos might join you as well but please keep a distance and don’t feed them.

Cantwell Park

Located in Pinjarra, Cantwell Park is a beautiful and picturesque picnic spot right on the banks of the Murray River.

Purchase a picnic hamper to dine in the grounds at Millbrook Winery or bring your own to enjoy by the lake at Drakesbrook Fine Wines or by the vines at Peel Estate Winery.

Coopers Mill

On Coolenup Island, accessible only by boat, has a lovely picnic spot by the 170 year old mill.

Experimental and not afraid to try new flavour combinations this is a restaurant that likes to push traditional boundaries. Sourcing local ingredients, giving them an international twist and serving them in a tapas style is the best way to describe the dining experience.

Samudera Artisan Food & Bakehouse prides itself on sourcing the best quality local fresh produce possible and on making everything fresh onsite. You can pick your own fruit from selected trees at Caraholly Orchard in Dwellingup.

Open most Sundays, you can also stock up on fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs and honey, hand feed the cows, grab a bite to eat and a coffee from the pop-up café, listen to live music and explore the orchard and farm grounds.

Hamel Homegrown sells in-season, organic vegetables straight from their farm gate on James Road in Waroona. Vergone’s Fruit Stall on Pinjarra/Williams Road in Dwellingup sells fruit fresh from their orchard.

For the Meat Lovers

Hamlet Park is a boutique heritage breed pork producer in Coolup. You can find their delicious selection of pork products at farmers markets or purchase direct from the farm.

Midway Farmstall off Forrest Freeway, near Pinjarra Road, sell their farm-grown, grass fed lamb and beef at their stall plus local jams, honey, spices and more.
