Just under an hour from Perth, Mandurah & the Peel region offers a variety of places and activities to take your four legged friends. They really don’t miss out on anything here, with lots of beaches to spend the day at, trails to go adventuring, market places to shop with your fury friends, and boats to hire where you’re permitted to bring your dogs on board! The Peel region even offers a doggy day care for those rare occasions where your dogs aren’t permitted to come along.


Dog-friendly beaches

Dogs and their owners are happier and healthier when they have regular exercise. The City of Mandurah allows responsible dog exercise off-leash on over 17kms of coastline, as well as 26 reserves throughout Mandurah. Spend the day splashing about on the sandy beaches of Mandurah with your four legged friend. DOG-FRIENDLY Reserves and Walks

Explore the Mandurah War Memorial located at Hall's Park which is a dog-friendly reserve.

Or take in the view of the Indian Ocean while walking the Hall's Head Coastal Trail with your dog on a leash.

Check out the trails at Len Howard Conservation Park, Len Howard Drive, Erskine WA 6210. The park contains 60 hectares of bush on the north western shore of the Peel Inlet and features a nature trail (Erskine Nature Trail) with boardwalks over wetlands. Dogs on leash are allowed there.

Go on a self-guided heritage walk with your four-legged friend to learn more about Mandurah's rich history. Maps are available at the Mandurah Visitor Centre, 75 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah WA 6210.

Take your pet to Dwellingup! One of Dwellingup and the Lane Poole Reserve's great features is that all areas are dog-friendly and dogs on leads are permitted throughout the area. An exception is the Bibbulmun Track, where dogs are not welcome.


Go Boating with your dog

You don't have to go boating or fishing by yourself. Let your dog join you on your water adventure.

There are heaps of cafés and/or restaurants throughout the Peel region with dog-friendly verandas or beer gardens.

In Dwellingup, there is the Blue Wren Café and the Millhouse Café.

In Mandurah, there is Mandurah Quay Resort, Cicerellos, Dome Café, The Tea & Coffee Merchant, The Oyster Bar, Jasmine Thai Restaurant, and many more.

Caravan Parks

Mandurah Caravan & Tourist Park, 522 Pinjarra Road, Mandurah WA 6209'

This great family park has a range of caravan, camping and private ensuite sites. Self contained cabins and chalets accommodate families and suit a range of budgets. Dogs are allowed between 1st May to 1st November, a $50 bond applies and is subject to management. Available for Carava and Camping visitors only. Find out more here.


Miami Tourist Park, 619-627 Old Coast Road, Falcon WA 6210

Small and friendly dogs are allowed in the park subject to prior approval with management. Miami Holiday Park is situated on the highly sought after Mandurah Peninsula between the Peel Inlet and the Indian Ocean in Falcon. The park offers a nuber of powered and unpowered sites for tents, caravans and motor homes. Facilities include BBQ and picnic areas, a coin operated laundry, fish cleaning facilities, shopping centre and restaurants nearby and a swimming beach 800m away. Find out more here.

Belvedere Caravan Park, 153 Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah

Small lap dogs are welcome at Belvedere Caravan Park with prior consent and conditions apply. Belvedere Caravan Park is centrally located on Mandurah Terrace and 300m to Silver Sands Beach. Accommodation ranges from park cabins with onsite vans, chalets, and caravan/tent sites. The quiet park has plenty of shady grassed sites. With plenty of shops and restaurants close by, there is something for the whole family. Find out more here.

Herron Point Reserve Camping Ground, Herron Point Road, Herron WA 6214

This is a great spot suitable for caravans right on a white sandy beach on the eastern side of Harvey Estuary. Herron Point is very popular during the peak season (Easter long weekend) and day visitors enjoy scooping the blue swimmer crabs in the estuary. There are basic facilities and flushing toilets. Dogs are allowed but must be on leash at all times. Find out more here.

Your pet is welcome at Lake Navarino Holiday Park. Please let the park management know on arrival and you will get a sticker for your collar.

Your dog has to stay on a short lead at all times and should not left unsupervised.
